Well, I will have just had my 5 minutes of fame at this terms Leicester Geography Network. I am starting this thread on the blog in order to gauge interest and gather suggestions from those interested in creating a collaborative unit of work aimed at getting year 9 to participate in geography rather than just letting it happen to them. (if you were not at the meeting and you are interested then the powerpoint I used is here)
Please leave comments regarding your interest in working together or suggestions for themes/issues to study.

i have the support of my new HOD to come up with enjoyable project / sow for yr 9.
the idea of a cross curricular linked look at plastic bags and packaging would be good.
a possible idea might be looking into sustainable shopping …
